What is Ring Spinning?

Ring spinning is a contemporary method of yarn spinning technique composed of successive stages starting from fibre opening from bales and ends in spinning frame and winding.

Compared to Open End technology, Ring spinning enables more even yarn surface, less thick and thin places, better drape on woven/knitted fabric due to technical characteristic of ring spin technology.

Ring spun yarns are generally categorised into Combed or Carded yarns. Combed yarns are more expensive compared to carded yarns. Combed yarns with addition of Compact technology are produced with less hairiness factor.

Wide variety of textile yarns are produced using Ring Spinning technology. havvaring™ range includes;

– 100% Cotton Combed or Carded Yarns

– Polyester/Cotton Carded or Combed Yarns (65:35, 50:50, 40:60)

– 100% Viscose Yarns (Semi-dull or Bright)

– Polyester/Viscose Blend Yarns (67:33, 50:50)

– 100% Viscose Melange Yarns

– 100% Polyester Spun Yarns (semi-dull or bright)

– 100% Modal Yarns (Lenzing™)

– Modal/Combed Cotton Blend Yarns (52:48 USA Cotton/Lenzing™ Modal)

100% Cotton Carded yarns are available in count range Ne 6 to Ne 40 in raw white and colours. Our mills use strictly American (USA / Brazil ) cotton and are Cotton Council™ certified. Contamination free fibres are delicately spun into standard cones and are palletised.

For superior quality our mills do not use comber noils which include bad quality cotton fibres that weaken yarn strength.

Cotton carded yarns are available as 1-ply and up to 4-ply for specific end uses.

Cotton combed yarns offer ultimate elegance for demanding fabric applications. Compared to carded equivalent combed yarns offer improved tenacity, aesthetics and touch. Short fibres protruding from surface is less compared to carded cotton yarn.

Cotton compact technology utilized by our spinning mills enable lower pilling, nepping and thick&thin places across yarn cross-section.

– Combed cotton yarns available in raw white and colours.

Polyester/Cotton Ring spun yarns have CARDED or COMBED type in different counts. Three yarn ratios commonly used 65:35, 50:50, 40:60 .

Polycotton yarns are widely used in circular knitting and weaving for work clothing, apparel textiles and industrial applications. Combed (CVCM) polycotton yarns offer higher strength compared to carded yarns.

–  Polycotton yarns available in raw white, colours and melange effects (10% and 30% Black).

Viscose fibers produced from 1.0D to 1.5D in 38-44 mm standard length enabling consistent processing during ring spinning. The fact that both Polyester and Viscose are man-made fibres, resultant Poly/Viscose yarns are even in surface and consistent in tenacity and drape properties.

Viscose fibres inherently produced as Bright, while Polyester may have semi-dull, bright and dull options offering different yarn lustre.

Polyester/Viscose yarns can be in raw white and colours in single or folded plies.

100% Viscose yarns mostly produced in Bright lustre, ring spun viscose yarns offer best price vs performance ratio. Open End and Vortex ™ spinning are two other spinning methods to produce viscose yarns.

Working regularly with mills in Turkey, Indonesia, India, China and Vietnam we have quality audited them many times and collaborate with quality proven mills only.

Viscose yarns available for knitting and weaving use in single and folded as raw white, dope dyed and cone dyed. While cone dyed viscose yarns offer lowest boiling water shrinkage (e.g. nearly zero) it is more expensive alternative to dope dyed viscose yarns.

Viscose yarns are particularly favoured due to their;

– lustre (ideal for womens dressing and night wear)

– high water absorbency (even higher than cotton or linen)

– soft touch

Polyester Ring spun yarns are most widely used spun yarns after Cotton. Polyester ring spun yarns are substitute for cotton yarns in various applications (e.g. knitting, weaving and braiding).

Polyester staple fibres in 1.2D and 1.4D in 38-52 mm staple cut length used in production of polyester spun yarns in Semi-Dull, Bright Round and Dull lustres.

Polyester spun yarns widely used in circular knitting, weaving and industrial fabric formation methods.

Functional polyester spun yarns such as; Cationic (giving melange effect), Optical white (semi-dull lustre or Bright), Low shrinkage, Cool Plus (for sportswear applications offering capillary action on fibre cross-section), polyester slub yarn and recycled polyester spun yarns are gaining wider usage in textiles.
