Nylon 6 is present in market for over 60 years, being one of the earliest invented man-made fibres. Nylon 6 DTY is extruded polymer produced with texturising technology similar to Polyester.
High strength, resistance to abrasion and lightweight of Nylon 6 offers a bundle of advantages for specific end uses e.g. socks, hosiery and apparel.
Main characteristics of Nylon 6 yarns include:
– High tensile strength,
– Good lustre and elasticity
– Good dimensional stability
– Soft handle, good anti-pilling and antistatic properties.

Nylon 6 Yarn Applications
PBT yarns are used in;
– Socks knitting
– Weft insert yarn in weaving (slight or non intermingled)
– Circular knitting, weft knitting and warp knitting
– Narrow weaving and braiding
– Covered yarn applications to fold with Spandex, Lycra, Creora
– Nylon 6 DTY yarns are used mainly in apparel, socks, lingerie, underwear, seamless wear, ribbon, elastic tape and intimate clothing.
